Today our teacher told us to inquire into a type of technology. I worked with my friend Chase who also inquried into the same technology as me. We both chose Virtual Reality. VR or Virtual Reality has been around since 1957. There’s a special type of headset required that looks very hightech. It has appeared in many movies such as Ready Player One, Tron, The Matrix, Storm Watch, Evolver and much more!

The model is pretty simple. It’s a strap with a phone holder at the front. To see the image 3D, there’s special lenses you see through to the phone. You also need a certain app. You can’t just use any old app! Here’s an example:

I have chosen Virtual Reality to research because I’m really interested on how VR works and how the lenses make the image look 3D. This technology allows communication of ideas and belief by using your imagination in choosing the app. It depends what type of games you like. Horror, comedy, fighting and much much more! You choose!

It’s not just games you can play. You can use VR for designing. For example, Lamborghini just came up with a new design for a car (that would be cool) and of course they would need to get it approved. So this is where the VR comes in! Lamborghini could create a VR experience to show whoever is inspecting the car how good it is! You can do the same with houses, caravans, landmarks and a lot more!
